I appreciate the opportunity to share my experience because I planned to reach out to your corporate office to inform you that I believe that my truck was sabotaged. When I had my truck towed to your location at 10312 Dixie Highway, all I needed was my charging system tested to determine whether I needed both an alternator and a battery. I was fairly certain that I needed a battery because AAA was able to jump my original battery and get my truck started but my truck would not stay started on it's own. Other than that, my engine was strong and sounded great. When I picked my truck up, I was charged $396.86 for a battery and told that I needed an engine knock sensor. I opted not to pay an additional $300+ to have that installed because I knew I didn't need it. After doing my own research, I found out that replacing the engine knock sensor could be a ten minute fix doing a bypass procedure for about $60 or a complete teardown to replace it which based on your mechanics hourly rate would have exceeded what I was being charged. When drove off the lot to take my truck home, my truck started to cut off. I thought I just needed some gas which I thought was unusual because I had a quarter tank of gas when I dropped my truck off. Nonetheless, I made it to a nearby gas station where my truck stopped on me the first time. I put some gas in it and it eventually started. However, as I drove home, my truck kept cutting off. At each stoplight between my home and the gas station I had to put my truck in neutral and lightly press on the gas to keep my truck from dying. After I reached my house, my truck completely died. It won't do anything. No lights. No sensors. Nothing happens. I called the shop last week to get a copy of my receipt emailed but, the manager, Brian Elgin, initially told me that he sent it but it would take 20 minutes for me to receive it. We'll it's been almost a week and I have not received it. If you check with your answering service, you can confirm that I called. Also, if you check your records, you will see that I am a long time customer who, up to this point, have always had a great experience. In the past, I typically knew some of your employees because I worked next store at Valley High School for 22 years. I chose not to take my truck back to this location because I do not trust Brian Elgin or the tech that worked on my truck listed as D. Lowery.
